Dear Tori and Dave

Thank you both very much again for such an excellent visit last week.  Everyone's still talking about it!

"As part of a Year 8 Literacy Project linked to the natural environment, wildlife and rural crafts, we arranged for David and Tori of Northside Falconry to visit the school.  It proved to be one of the highlights of the whole project!

Tori’s enthusiasm for her birds of prey and the art of falconry was infectious, her sharing of knowledge and stories fast-paced, highly informative, focused and entertaining.  She actively sought the students’ participation through asking them questions linked to their own experiences, encouraging them to ask her questions, allowing them to see the birds close up and inviting them to hold the birds on their own gloved hands.  They saw a range of birds feed and fly, swooping low over their heads across the hall.

It was an exciting and novel experience which kept our students (and staff!) fully engaged, engendering in them a respect for birds of prey and deepening their knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the art of falconry.  It stimulated much discussion afterwards as word spread, together with news that Head of School, Miss Byron, had finally been outstared, by Ozzie the Eagle Owl!

Thanks again.

"Wow, what a wonderful experience we had on the 1st October with David and Tori for their Falconry Day.  From the moment my mate and I arrived it was evident that Tori is a great ambassador for the business – her enthusiasm, love and respect for the Birds brought the whole experience to life.

Both David and Tori obviously have a great passion for what they do as it very much showed.  So many highlights and memories that will remain for many years.  Highly recommend to anyone interested in Birds of Prey."
